#Tabbouleh & Spaghetti

I was born in Beirut (Lebanon) during the war, from a Lebanese dad and an Italian mum who had met in Manchester (incredible, eh?) Second of a family of five, my first years were those of a TCK, speaking French and English at home, and growing up in different countries – Lebanon, Geneva, Yanbu (Saudi Arabia) – before landing in beautiful and sunny Côte d’Azur.

As a child, I loved playing with legos and puzzles. Yet, my true passion was drawing (especially using charcoal); something I kept doing for many years until I felt I needed another means to express myself. I kept the pencil and paper, and switched to words.

#Thank God for blogs

To me, blogs are the best invention – after shoes and chocolate – for all those wanting to share with the world their thoughts, ideas and experience – you name it. A true “eldorado”, especially for the INFPs (like me) or anyone more at ease with written words. I started blogging in 2006 and still do: one of my blogs is Les Conseils de Maman.

#Words and Copywriting

I stumbled upon copywriting particularly during my years of experience in marketing, events and sales. Searching for the words to catch the interest of an audience, formulating a content that would lead to an action or create a connection, thrilled me. At some point, I realised that I was willing to spend more time on writing copies (be it sales letters, website content, presentations, marketing and press material) than on any other task. I was so excited about composing a convincing and enthralling content! This is when I started to think it was, perhaps, the time for a career change. Getting many encouragements from some now ex-colleagues as well as from a few friends working for/with renowned advertising agencies gave me another reason to make the step. So, here I am, freelancing as a Content Writer and just loving it!

#I still have the pencils!

If we get to meet, you will probably see me carrying a pencil case and a notebook. I like “sketching” and “drawing” words before going to my laptop. The sound of pen to paper enchants me.

 #Some other bits about me

I have a strong interest in photography, organic cosmetics, yacht design and ethical fashion.

My favorite quote: “Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be, how much you can love, what you can accomplish, and what your potential is.” (Anne Franck)

Some books on my shelf: “The Alchemist” (Paulo Coelho), “The Prophet” (Khalil Gibran), “A year in the Merde” (Stephen Clarke), “On ne badine pas avec l’amour” (Alfred de Musset), “A Thousand Splendid Suns” (Khaled Hosseini), “La vie est ailleurs” (Milan Kundera), “Confiance” (Henry James),…
